Katerina Peiros is an expert Incapacity, Wills and Estates lawyer.Katerina Peiros LIV Accredited Specialist Incapacity, Wills and Estates

She is accredited as a specialist by the Law Institute of Victoria.

 

Katerina has practised in this field since 2006 and trained with the top Wills and Estates lawyers in Victoria before setting up her own practice.

She is an officer of the Supreme Court of Victoria and is entitled to practise in Victoria.

She holds a double degree from Monash University – Bachelors of Law and Science (Psychology).

  • a member of the Law Institute’s Succession Law Committee for Victoria.
2014 – current
  • co-author of a chapter on ‘Business Succession’ for a highly reputable subscription education source for lawyers ‘Estate Planning Online’, a product of LexisNexis, a global legal education company.
2012 – current
  • member of the Law Institute of Victoria study group on Wills & Estates (participation and membership is limited to lawyers dedicated to this field).
  • member of STEP, a worldwide association of Trust and Estate Practitioners, where membership is based on expertise and merit.
  • affiliate member of the Taxation Institute of Australia (Australia’s main taxation education and consultative body), where membership is granted on expertise in tax and estate planning.

  • 2012-2014
    • General Editor of the ‘Retirement & Estate Planning Bulletin‘ (a monthly LexisNexis publication for lawyers specialising in succession law). In this role, Katerina (with her co-editor, Christine Smyth) drove succession law content and quality for the bulletin.
  • 2010-2012
    • editorial panel of the ‘Retirement and Estate Planning Bulletin‘. This role involved writing and sourcing high quality articles for the publication to ensure the bulletin was always first in its field.
